The photographic project by Natela Grigalashvili takes us into mountainous Adjara – one of Georgia’s most distinctive and culturally rich regions, where traditions and pastoral ways of life have endured for generations. Today, however, this area marked by isolation and marginalization is slowly emptying, and with the departure of its people, the stories, knowledge, and practices that shaped life here for centuries are also disappearing.
The exhibition is set on a stunning viewpoint above Bohinjska Češnjica, in haylofts and within a shelter designed by the architectural studio Ostan Pavlin. This setting – open between nature and architecture – offers a unique frame for reflecting on the fragile balance between people, land, and traditions at risk of vanishing.
